I had a phone call from the hearing test people this morning, to get my speech delayed son in for his first hearing test since he was 8 months old.

He is thrtee, and I have been pushing for this since JANUARY!

Not just that.

The lady on the phone mentioned that she had never received a referral from the HVs.

I have been pestering for this since January, I have asked at least 3 times since. My son is 3, the teachers at his preschool can barely understand him, sure it is due diligence to check his hearing?

I want to complain, but want to make sure I'm not being sillyfirst.

No, that is very poor. My dd had a hearing test arranged within a month from me first raising concerns with the HV. And she was only 19 mo. It was considered the obvious first step.
