My 15 week old has always been a good sleeper and from an early age only woke up once in the night. Then from about 10 Weeks he started going through the night with a,dream feed about 2/3 days a week.
However we have had feeding issues and have gone from ebf to combination to ff. I have found this frustrating as each time I get a routine and find the best times to feed him and,he starts sleeping through we have to change it and,it's back to trial and error.
he has been ff for 9 days now and slept through the first two days of giving it to him. I thought brilliant! But that was it. Now he wakes up at 3 or 4 or 5 and seems hungry. Nuzzling into my arm, sucking my finger but will only take 2/3 oz so feel like he's snacking. I am getting frustrated as feel he is more than capable of going through the night as does it sometimes and then sometimes doesn't and I cannot are a distinction between these days. We are doing trial and error with feeding, times as I know this is a major change for him and,he will take a while to adapt. At first he was guzzling down the ff but think that was, because,he was hungry/growth spurt and my milk was not providing him with enough food.
I feed at 8 ish, 11ish,2.30 ish, 5 ish and,6.45 ish with bed at 7,dream feed around 10.30/11. He is a very funny feeder and can fuss and cry but wants food and will only take 2/3 Oz in morning feeds and then 6 towards bedtime feeds. Then struggle to get him to take more than 4oz at dream feed.
He's 12lb 11 so little. Is it just a matter of time him getting used to ff or what can I do to get him to stop waking for such a small feed? He seems more unsettled at night now gone to ff.
