So far we have 2 x accidents, zero wees in potty...

DD is 2.1, and has been stripping off and asking for her potty for a few weeks. She's at nursery so sees others which has promoted the interest.

Dry all day and a minor meltdown at having to put a nappy on for bed. She wakes up very wet still though!

LittlePandaBear · 02/04/2013 20:14

DD had a completely dry day with the childminder today - her first time there with her potty. Not bad considering they went to soft play and to the shops etc!

This is day 12 - keep going everyone Smile Wine

Any tips on encouraging them to use the toilet? I have a toddler seat for her but haven't really pushed for her to use it yet. Should I wait a while?

allagory · 03/04/2013 00:08

Ah yes. I remember day 12..I am saying hello to day 31! And after great day yesterday we had failure sandwich: Morning success, fail, fail, fail, fail and one little success before bed. Roll on Wednesday..

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 01:53

We're on day five and I'm hoping we can now move onto the 'not asking her and waiting for her to tell us' stage Confused probably wishful thinking though....

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 01:55

Wrt the toilet I'm not sure what to do. It's much easier using the potty than traipsing upstairs to the loo! She's happy to use a public loo. I reckon they might decide themselves? Hmm

Crazycake · 03/04/2013 10:05

Wee had poo on the floor before bedtime lastnight Sad she has however woke up and gone straight on the potty for a wee, I think poos are definitely going to take longer. Off to the park after dinner so fingers crossed...

Crazycake · 03/04/2013 10:06

*we haha, slip of the tongue Grin

MacCrackles · 03/04/2013 11:13

Day 7 here. Still only going to potty when asked. Am considering pull ups for nursery next week. Although I really really wanted to just go cold turkey I'm not sure he knows when he's about to go. Maybe tomorrow will be free pee day!

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 03/04/2013 11:54

Poo in the bath here :(

Although she did seen to be aware , made a huge fuss over it so that's a good sign right?

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 14:21

Everything relaxes in the bath she probably couldn't help it Smile

Well we've been out since ten am lots of time in the car, out to lunch and no accidents Smile still having to take her to the loo and she still says she doesn't need to go Hmm

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 03/04/2013 15:03

Four wees on floor :(

Not a clue

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 15:10

How many days now wheresmy? I might be inclined to leave it a bit. Dd is three in two months and I'm glad I waited.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 03/04/2013 15:16

I've been doing it three days but only for a couple of hours which I know isn't enough but I can't keep both dds in all day every day. If there's no change in the next couple of days im gonna leave it. I've managed the dummy so not complete wash out :)

I really wanted to spend as much time outside as I could. Girls in desperate need of fresh air and whatever little sun we get. Have no intention of being stuck in house whole time clearing up pee.

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 15:20

Oh well done on the dummy! I have a thumb sucker Hmm

I don't blame you although it's freezing outside! I'm glad dp has been here for a week to help me, he's back to work tomorrow though

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 03/04/2013 15:23

Don't talk to me a out thumb sucking. Had that too from dd2 grrr.

I just want one wee in the potty. Just one to give me hope :)

Crazycake · 03/04/2013 18:21

Afternoon in the park was very successful, 3 hours out of the house and no accidents all day Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 18:24

Well she just went 'oh I've done a poo' and ran to her potty Hmm a small bit fell on the floor but quite all the rest went in the potty so not too bad I suppose...

Crazycake · 03/04/2013 19:45

That's great spottySmile

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2013 19:47

Oh just saw your previous post. No accidents at the park is great!

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 18:51

Well after being dry for two days dd had two accidents this morning. She was at MIL's for the day though.... Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 05/04/2013 07:45

Well this morning apparently dd was in the kitchen with dp when she said 'oh I need a wee' and she went and did one them dp was upstairs brushing his teeth I was still in bed when dd called up 'I've done a poo!' And she had, all in her potty Smile

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 05/04/2013 08:05

That's fab spotty

Dd has no clue still the potty is upsetting her now so going to leave it snd try again in a couple of weeks

Crazycake · 05/04/2013 08:23

She's doing so well spotty Smile Wheresmy- that's what my DD was like about six weeks ago so we left it for a while, this time it's been much easier. My lazy DD is still fast asleep!

SpottyTeacakes · 05/04/2013 08:32

Envy Crazy ds has had me up all night. No exaggeration he fried every time I tried to put him in his cot Sad

Crazycake · 05/04/2013 09:03

Oh no Sad will he have a nap?
