Hi my son has just turned 15 months and he keeps head butting everything. It dosnt matter if he's upset or happy he will still do it. He'l headbutt the wall untill he hurts him self.

He went from biting to head butting stuff

I'm just wondering is it just cos he's changing or does something need to be done about it?

My DS 2.5 is/was a head-butter! It's something he's starting to grow out of. At first I was very concerned about it but I did some googling and read that a lot of kids go through this stage, especially boys. Do a bit of googling yourself and you'll come across lots of stuff.
Some kids do it out of frustration because they don't have the vocabulary to get their point across.
To set your own mind at ease you should mention it to his nurse/doctor during his next checkup. But from what I understand, this on its own is not a cause for concern. I mentioned it to my boy's nurse and she didn't seem to think it was anything important. She asked some other questions about his behaviour (i can't remember what now) but was satisfied it was just a phase.
My DS tended to do it when I told him "no" to something he wanted. He doesn't headbutt so much anymore but has started an equally bad habit of slapping his head with his hand when he doesn't get his way.
Good luck, I hope your boy outgrows this soon.

Yea its the same when we tell him no for something. Hopefully he will grow out of it as I don't want his sister picking bad habits up lol
