A question of poo!

My 5 mth old has started doing quite runny, yellow poo. He is ok in himself but think hes teething. He's on baby gaviscon which usually makes him constipated or have hard poos. Is this runny, yellow poo normal when teething? Sorry for TMI!

Yes! Can also be green! Strange but true - had this with both mine and heard the same from lots of friends. Maybe it's to do with all the dribbling and extra saliva? As long as he's otherwise okay, I don't think you need to worry.

I would say so yes, mines doing runny yellow poos at the moment and he is definitely teething. (he's 6month old but I don't think that's anything to do with it) If he's producing wet nappies and otherwise ok I would just keep an eye on him but I wouldn't over worry. Also any changes to diet if bf or formula if ff can cause "poo" changes! Hth :)
