Sleep, glorious sleep. Have we finally cracked it?

So after 25 months of DD being a really crap sleeper (we even had to go and see a sleep specialist back in November) she has slept for 12 hours solidly with an exact one hour lunchtime nap FOR THE LAST FIVE DAYS.

I can't believe it. Is this what they do? Does it suddenly fall into place like this? Too early to call?

I'm not counting my chickens, of course and I know there will be phases and illnesses and teething, etc. But this is bloody amazing!

I'd love to hear some stories of toddlers who finally crack the sleeping thing!

Thanks xx

Both of mine did. Long may it continue.

Glad you're getting some sleep at last!

With DS it did pretty much go like that. He woke in the night regularly until just before his 2nd birthday, would come into our bed when he woke and the time just got gradually later until one morning DH & I rolled over at 7am one morning and discovered that there wasn't a little person in with us. He's 6.5 now :)

His sister took a little longer (nearer 3 yrs) but both sleep soundly now (baring illness)

Wow! That really does sound promising. Thanks both.

Glad you are sleeping, sleep is like gold!! My son has done the same, he is 17 months and two weeks ago following a stomach bug he just started sleeping better, 6.45 - 6.45 roughly with a 1.5hr nap. He only occasionally cries if he can't find his bear or dummy. It has been like a magic spell has been put on him!

I know! It's flipping AMAZING! And she's still going... xx
