I have two girls aged 3 1/2 & 2 1/2, my 2 1/2yr old has always been a terrible sleeper and I am starting to struggle with it now. They go to bed ok, but she just doesn't sleep through (I had 4 nights last year that she slept through) it doesn't matter if she is in her own bed or in with us, she wakes crying/screaming/kicking, 99% of the time she won't let us touch/cuddle her to try and sooth her, she wakes at least twice a night and it lasts for an hour or more each time. She is always the last one awake in the morning, but when she wakes she is the most happy, loving little thing and you would never think she could be like that at night, I am sure people don't believe me!!
I don't mind if she came into us during the night and cuddled up, her sister sometimes does, just for her to not be screaming like she does. Its not everynight just 90/80% of the time.
Does anyone else have a little one like this or even better had a little one like this and its now all sorted??

Has she been checked by the GP for any medical reasons? Our DS woke just like this at that age and he was in pain.

I have taken her to Doctors & Health Visitors
but I've been told that's what happens when you
have kids. I suffer from IBS and asked if it could
be anything like that but the Dr laughed at me
and said no!!! But I have just moved so I am going
to try our new GP!!!

Might be worth a try, we got referred to the hospital where they did tests, checked he was growing ok and eventually discharged us. He grew out of it but you have my total sympathy. Have you read NCSS for toddlers and preschoolers?
