Grizzly snotty and frustrated 11 month old. Wants everything he can't have. Wants to be on feet but can't actually walk unaided yet. Has hissy fits if you leave room, wipe nose, change nappy or get him dressed. Used to be quite cute, is now child from hell.

Doing my head in.

sounds very familiar, my ds has gone through that stage which finished when he could walk. i think its frustration that they cant move around, mine was anightmare as he didnt crawl.grit your teeth, TRY and ignore, it will pass but is really stressful till it does

Empathising with you charmkin! Also have 11 month old who is snotty, toothy, wanting to walk, wanting all dangerous things. Worst is mealtimes as he wants to self feed but is truly rubbish at it. Has started slamming spoon into bowl and sending slops flying. Had to clean ceiling at 8am this morning. He used to be so happy in high chair. Is now miserable!

He stood on his own for a few seconds yesterday. Can't be long before they're off. :)

welcome to the wonderful world of 11 month olds

Oh and the nappy changing/dressing thing is a total nightmare. Somedays it's just too much like hard work so he stays in grubby vest and tracky bottoms like a mini Rab C Nesbitt. He is also ginger!

Yep, sounds like dd at that age. Hissy fits when you leave the room could be separation anxiety. My dd used to go around with snotty nose, uncut finger/toe nails, less than ideal nappy and bath hygiene - actually she still does.

Snottiness, grizzling, esp if accompanied by dribbling, could be due to teething.

Sorry you are having a hard time, charmkin. Most babies will go through this stage.

Did i mention that the only thing that seems to make him happy is the dreaded baby walker which I borrowed! So when he is finally quiet I am here having guilt fest...
