Teething at 10 weeks???

Just wondering if anyone knows if teething can start so early? Ds is my first and although I think he's far too young he's showing all the signs, intermittently grouchy for no obvious reason, very drooly, chewing hands constantly but refusing feeds so not hungry (am bfing on demand). Is it possible it could be teeth bothering him and does anyone have any ideas to sooth him as he is unable to hold a teething ring etc?

Yes, babies don't read the milestone books. Some babies are even born with teeth!

Drooling is developmentally on-target for this age, because now he can get his hands and other things in his mouth. Drool is the body's way of flushing out the mouth.

My DD had both her bottom teeth through in her 13th week! So she was definitely drooly and red cheeked at 10 weeks. I used the baby bonjela teething gel on her and it seemed to provide her with some relief.

My dd was very drooly from about 2 months, in fact she would soak every outfit and I bought a tonne of dribble bib things to protect her clothes...(funky giraffe ones are ace). Hands in the mouth etc, HV said it was teethinh but we may not see a tooth for a while. She is now 27 weeks (6 months ) and still no tooth!! But to be honest she's less drooly now than she was.

Someone did tell me that the drooling and grumpiness can be about the teeth moving into place in the guns which if anything is more sore and when the teeth actually break through

Oh dear read the post cause DD 9weeks exactly the same bah! Explains a lot!

I feel so sorry for them sometimes all this going on with their little bodies and they dont understand.

After our nightmare day today I suspect my instinct might be right! Thank you all for the advice think I will try teething gel and see if it helps :) xxx

DD1 sprouted 2 teeth out of nowhere at 10 weeks old. They continued to pop out and she had full set incl molars by her first birthday. DD3 is 7 months old today and despite drooling, grumps, red cheeks and chewing everything she has none!

My DD started "teething" at 8 weeks, and drooled non-stop for about a year - just to warn you though her first tooth was at 10 months so 'twas all for nothing to begin with!

Anyone have any tips for helping LO to sleep when teething!??
What has anyone used in terms of cal pol etc?

My DS is 13 weeks and teething!

He is getting his back ones in first and he screamsssss the place down!

I use bonjela, colpol. He shoves his fist in most of the time/has his dummy which i put in cold water and give it to him when it hurts as he cant hold his teething rings yet.

I give DS sterilized water/put it in the frigde for 5 mins then take it out to give to him, which soothes him so much.

My DS was born with teeth , 7 weeks later he has 4
DD got her first at 16 weeks and had a mouth like a toddler by 8 months
(tis easier when they are younger)

Dd1 started cutting teeth at 4 weeks and had them all by 12 mos. people visibly recoiled in the supermarket when she grinned at them.

She starting losing her milk teeth early as well. Se had lost four or five of them by the time her peer group started getting wobbly teeth.

A cold flannel from the fridge is good at this age. I found all the commercial teethers were too big for DD and they relied on motor skills that just aren't present at this age.
