HELP 9 week old only looks to the right

I have just cottoned on to the fact my 9 week old ds will only turn his head to the right when lying flat, does not look round to the left if I move the object round to his left. All checks so far seem to have been normal but am very worried.

Mine did this too (well, left in our case) - I remember being so so worried about it. I have a theory that it may have been because when I lay her in her cot, looking left was out to the room, and right was staring at the wall. So I started to put her head at the other end of the cot, and within a few days she was turning her head 180 degrees. Of course, it was probably pure coincidence

My ds always laid with his head to the left as a little babe, now he shifts around so I wouldn't worry too much...if you stroke his cheek does he turn towards it?

He's asleep now but I'll try, thanks

Mine did this too. We took him to the cranial osteopath who declared him well and said it was probably due to his getting 'wedged' before he was born.

We turned him 180 in his cot too so that he had to turn his head to look at us.

It worked within a couple of days and I'd fogotten all about it until now!

would you bl**dy believe it just gone to him as wide awake in play pen turning head from side to side!!!!!!

Both of mine had preferences, and dd has a flat head as a result! But once they get more interested in things, they start looking around more.

Lottie only ever looked to one side too. As I was seeing loads of physios and OT's etc etc anyway I asked them all about it and they said it was nothing to worry about but if it made me feel better to place interesting toys etc on the side she didn't usually turn to just to encourage her to change position.
