We've all been to the zoo today ...

It is ds2's 7th birthday, so we took him, ds1, + 4 friends to the zoo.

I think ds2 deliberately chose the two naughtiest boys in his class "because they are fun" Grin

They even made my boys seem quite good in comparison!

One of them drove me completely bonkers all day long: running off, not following instructions, climbing on fences, poking fingers through wire, etc., etc. He also brought sweets with him, which he basically ate on his own without sharing them at all. (None of the other children had any.) And he brought money with him, and spent the whole time messing about with it until I confiscated it. Then at the end we agreed he could go in the shop to spend it: he had no clue about maths and shopping, and couldn't decide what he wanted ... aarrgghh! And most of the other kids (including ours) didn't have any money to spend ... aarrgghh!

But ds2's best friend is a girl, and she was absolutely delightful. Beautifully behaved, lovely manners, and very thoughtful and considerate of others. Just a pleasure to be with. I wonder if her mum will do a swap with me!
