8 month old pooing in the bath

My daughter is 8 months old and has started pooing in the bath. How do I stop her when she's only just turned 8 months yesterday? I already take her out as soon as does it, I don't think she's doing it because she finds it fun, but thought maybe the warm water makes it easier to have a poo? Tonight was the 6th? time she's done it in two weeks. She isn't pooing in her nappies at all, only in the bath. I don't really know how to encourage her to poo in her nappies or even why she is only doing it in the bath? Can anyone shed some light on this or have any suggestions? Thank you.

No worries, you should laugh, I find it all just as silly. I shout to my husband "Daddddy, bring a cup we did another poo in the bath!". I'm not sure about bathing her earlier, but I suppose I could try an earlier bath and see how that goes for a few nights. Thank you for the suggestion. Hopefully it is a phase, and for the sake of my husband, (who finds it all very disgusting) a very short phase!

Its only baby poo...

Sounds to me like baby is abit constipated, and the warm water helps ease the poo out...

U cant stop her, she cant control her body at 8 months old...

I would just be glad shes going a poo

If it's any consolation... We've been away for a week to a wee cabin that didn't have a bath, so we just bathed 9mo DS in the sink.

First night there? Pooed in the sink. So far, so stinky. Second night there, he did it AGAIN! Third night, we put him in the dishwasher and washed the dishes in the shower. that may be a lie

Is there anything you feed her for dinner that may be helping get things moving? Maybe try giving her some fruit earlier in the day to, ummm, flush it out earlier on?

I'd get those bowels moving during the day, fruit, fibre. Lots of water with meals/in meals.

I'd leave the baths for a bit - she only needs one a week - and change the time too.

my ds started doing this about a month ago. he is now 7 months old. He still does it every now and then i think its down to the warm water and the fact his poo is quite hard now. does your lo drink enough fluid during the day?

My DS is 7 months and went through a phase of doing this last month, happened about 4 or 5 times, then just stopped. Although he does usually only get a bath twice a week.
He does also now tend to poo in the morning.
