Teething powders in Australia?

My DD has just started teething, so after a very broken night I am frantically googling teething remedies! Everywhere seems to recommend teething powders, but they all seem to be uk brands, from Boots, and so on. Anyone in Australia know of any good teething powders available here? Thanks. (Apologies for overuse of the word teething!)

Repost in the Living Overseas section- loads of people living in Australia on there

In the meantime, FWIW, most teething powders (Ashtons etc) have a sugar (lactose) base. That's why they work because sugar has some pain relieving properties and the sweetness distracts them. Personally I find Calpol, Bonjela or Anbesol to be better.

We're suffering with teething here too so I saw your post. I did a quick google and saw this

Dunno if any good? Thought I'd share. Good luck!

Hi I live in oz and use the Hylands teething tablets... Quite hard to find but come recommended by many baby nurses at chemists.. I think they work, better than using panadol all the time, DS loves the tabs... I dud a bit of research first and am happy to use them...

I moved to Oz from the UK recently and I've found Ebay a godsend for stuff that I miss/need and can't get here.

I just did a quick search and you can get Nelson's Teetha granules for about AUD12, including shipping to Oz. Ordinarily I'd be hesitant about buying stuff I'm giving to my baby off Ebay, but I think if you go with a top rated seller (e.g. hundreds of positive reviews) you're pretty safe.
