please. dd2 is doing ym head in. she cannot be still. she doesnt stop chatting hmmmmm-ing, screeching etc. its like a constant headache. when she is quiet then she isnt still. she is currentl;y draped over the sofa, throwing herself off it, back on, etc etc. its very repeatative. she has also been scraping chairs on the floor today.

Misdee, how old is she?

I often have a headache from the noise levels in this house. my dd is now 5 and still fidgets and chats non-stop. On numerous occasions I have found myself shouting at her to keep quiet Blush

she is 3.5years old. her concentration skills are almost zero. now she is hissing like a snake. i will be glad when her assessment is done, maybe then i will learn how to deal with it. getting the trampoline has helped, she isnt as bad as a few weeks ago.

What is she being assessed for? (sorry if I'm being nosey btw)

she has ASD traits. I always thought she did, but was fobbed off. then pre-school picked it up, so we finally have an assesment appoint through.

OK, just had a quick look for what ASD stands for. Really hope the assessment can help you find ways of dealing with the situation.

I'm sure it's very tiring for you.

Misdee - my dd2 is exactly the same. She had her 2 yr check last week and my hv said to put her on fish oils to calm her down but I am no so sure.

She is on the go all the time and won't even sit to have a meal as such she is losing a little weight but I'm not too worried about that.
