2yr old boy, dry at night but 1st wee overwhelms nappy!

My son has been dry overnight for a long time. Rrcemtly, every morning when he does wee it totally overwhelms the happy and leaks all over his clothes. Help!

Quite unusual to be dry at night before day time! Would he sit on a potty at all for his first wee?

He is showing an interest in the toilet, but won't use it.

My DD was dry at night from around 18mths and her first wee of the day would be huge. We got round it by sitting her on the potty the instant she woke up, she'd wee in potty most of the time (just desperate to go I think) and it really helped her to get the hang of potty training too. We followed her lead and she was out of nappies by the time she turned 2yo.
