an old thread about sofas had been resurrected briefly - so I thought it might be nice for sofa-bouncers to exchange notes.

I highly recommend Multiyork sofas. We have all bounced on ours for ten years now, and also launched from the arm-rests on to the sofa or on to the arm-rest of the matching chairs. Both sofa and chairs are still in great shape. Well done Multiyork - a few thousand quid very well spent.

Another multiyork vote. 14 years, three kids, still bouncing

Probably whatever sofa they had on that Oprah show with Tom Cruise Grin We have an Ikea Ektorp and it seems indestructible, but only had one 3 year old bouncing on it (I would, but am too lazy).

I posted on that thread before realising it was a zombie - not sure what make our 26yr old sofas are (similar mis treatment to the OPs) - they came from a shop in york called Yorkshire Fine Furniture. I think at that point my soon-to-be-DH and I hadn't realised that most furniture came from big out-of-town shops .... bet if we had, we'd be on our second or third suite by now.

We did have to replace the feather back of the chair with solid foam but that was because of our previous dachshund sitting on it which somehow deformed it...he wasn't meant to get on the furniture so we never saw him there, just the thud before we entered the room and the incriminating dent.

Karlstad. Definitely.
