My dd2 is 4 in may she has always been demanding but recently her tantrums are getting really chaotic. Over everything past few days she screamed all the way on school run 'I want my mommy!' Then all the way back screaming 'help me,' then I had to hand her to nursery staff yesterday after 1 hour tantrum over her gloves being 'crumbly' and today because she couldn't have a fruit shoot for breakfast!

She is happy at school, eating well, sleeping all night but basically wants her own way all the time, immediately and if not she goes demented!

I know what normal tantrums are but she just seems extreme, I need advice because I have no idea what to do!

We have a happy stable and comfortable home life, I am a sahm and they get my attention all the time, she is home with me all morning until nursery and we do varied activities I just don't know what to do! Tia

Actually sounds pretty ordinary to me. Try to not force her to do stuff which will make her flare up. Eg. Crumbly gloves, I have dry /sensitive hand and find it agony to touch certain textures or use chalk. Seams in socks are often an issue. Cutting labels out of clothes can also help sometimes.

Try not to sweat the small stuff. Think hard: "does this really matter"?

Maybe your older child/children is/are easy?

If you are still very stressed, go to your GP and ask for a referral to a paediatrician. But if Nursery don't say there is a problem then there is probably nothing to worry about.
