5 week old random out of character bursts of crying/ hysterics (not colic) help?

My 5 week old girl has since she was born been a happy baby only crying for what she needs with the exception of a bit of colic, which we treated successfully with dentinox.
These last couple of days she has been hard to settle , she is impossible to appease and sleeps for 40 mins tops on occasion sleeping for 2 hours after long walks. She has explosions of crying hysterically but this lasts for a matter of seconds to a minute at a time.
Any ideas? Its my first baby so I'm spent.. I read another thread which sounds similar which points towards growth spurts. Does my situation sound similar?

Any advice / ideas soooo very welcome.

Thanks.

It could be a growth spurt or she's on the cusp of learning a new trick. No advice just some reassurance that it gets so much easier! Five weeks is still early days.
