Is anyone around, PLEASE read shall I tell my childs teacher in the Education section.

Just feeling a bit rubbish and need an outsider to ratioanlise.

You are doing the right thing by keeping your options open Charlize. Don't worry about it. The teacher must realise that children do more than one exam and that it is sensible to do so. She is probably just feeling a bit sad about the situation herslef of losing such a good pupil (he does sound it) - again understandably as she sounds likes she does care about her pupils.

You have done nothing wrong and have nothing to feel bad about at all

I think it would have been worse if you hadn't told the teacher and she had found out. You did the right thing IMO.

If you want to talk this over with someone, aren't there organisations who advise on entry to private schools? I'm sure there are helplines you can phone. Perhaps some other mumsnetter can tell you.

Or phone your local council and ask to speak to an educational advisor. They should be able to supply a contact number.
