My cheeky 6yo ds became a sulky 7yo and n ow he's 8 he's8 he's rude and at times aggressive (towards his dsis 5). He's outgrown stickers and the naughty stwp but talking doesn't work yet. He's happy to sulk in his room for time out and sorry is just a word. The only thing that works is money. He earns his pocket monet and looses it if he misbehaves. I don't really like using money as a bribe though.

How do you reward and sanction your 8 yo?

My 8 year old DD is also a horror at times....I remove things that she loves such as her DS or DVD player.

We remove items, after 3 warnings, mp3 player, or ds etc. Reward him (10 stickers =) with trips out to the cinema, pizza hut, local arcade. Hth

Good to know i'm not alone. I do take things off him but then he's even moodier bwcause he'a bored. That's when he turns to winding her up for entertainment. The rewards/trips out work but gets expensive. Also if he or his sister aren't good enough and we only take one out it divides precious family time and me or dh have to stop in.
