Chocolate potty rewards and bed time...

Hi all

DD's just about to turn two. We haven't started proper potty training yet but she has a potty and on the rare occasion she er, delivers she gets a Magic Star. She now knows this and is really keen to please. But we've been giving her the option of sitting on her potty before her bath, which is obviously very close to bedtime. She's terrible at settling to sleep at the best of times so I'm not sure a Magic Star before bed is a good idea! Any suggestions? What did you do with your DCs? Or do you think a tiny Magic Star isn't enough sugar to set her off? Thanks!

We used a similar incentive when potty training DS only with chocolate buttons. I'd say if it was working, a small piece of chocolate shouldn't be enough sugar to cause a problem.

I can't see a Magic Star really doing any harm but what about a sticker to wear on her PJs instead if you want to do the non-choc route.
