Really starting to worry about ds as he not saying anything other than hello or can say 1,he will babble away like he is talking to you.He can understand simple orders like get shoes coat etc or give mummy kiss :)He is starting to get very frustrated when we can't understand what he wants or needs.Have appointment at salt Wednesday, but just wondering if anyone has experience this and did salt work Tia.

It's very common and the fact that he babbles and understands commands or questions is a very good sign. My cousins son was late too...he's 8 now and perfectly fine.

My nephew was also slow at speaking and also hard to understand when he did but he's now 9 and very articulate. SALT will give you some things to help him communicate and some games to play....it's great that you've made an appointment as ther earlier, the better.

I have a friend whose son is 3 and not talking and she wont seek help...I worry about her son.
