Bed rails or Dream Tubes, anyone tried them??

My DS is 3 in April and still in his cotbed with the sides on (has never attempted to climb out so thought i'd leave it as long as possible!) but he's now getting too heavy for me to keep lifting in and out so we're gonna take the plunge and turn it into a toddler bed.
My question is has anyone tried the Dream Tubes as opposed to the wooden/fabric rails that stop them from falling out? I quite like the look of them, they seem a bit more cosey, but wonder if they really work, or if they make changing the bedding a pain?

We use foam bumpers from Amazon for my son's bed - they fit under a fitted sheet. Very pleased with them. Thy are made by a company called something with Daisy in - purple daisies? Sorry not very helpful but sure you will find them if you do a search!

We didn't bother with either - put a quilt on the floor so he had a soft landing if he fell, but with a toddler bed it's so close to the floor that I actually think the carpet would have been a soft enough landing! Think he's fallen out maybe 5 times ever, and was definitely the best solution or us - we initially put in a bed guard but he could climb out then not back in when he was sleepy so got rid of it.

thanks evie will have a look for them, would feel happier with something there i think, DS is such a wriggler and anything that stops him from waking in the night has got to be good!
