I have dd who is 15 months old and ds just 1 month old. Although it has not been that long since last time, I seem to have forgotten how soon I got dd into routines for sleep, feeding etc Blush
Can anyone remind me????

As soon as you need one!!!
MY dd had a routine of sorts for bedtime etc from day one in order for her to fit in with her older brother who is 2.

breastfed both of mine and it was close to 12wks efore it all settled into a pattern for night.
havin them in bed around 7pm or so. but i cntinued to feed once in the night , ie after midnight, til 7mths, then it was cold turkey!

Funny how quickly you forget! Was only this time last year. Wish now I'd kept a diary for the first year, as I'm bound to forget what I did when.
However, did try to get DD into a routine from about the second week, once I'd found my feet a bit. Was easier for me as I bottle fed from the start and was lucky that DD distinguished day from night from an early stage and seemed to realise she should sleep for longer when it was dark, thankfully. Tried to implement the bath, bottle, bed routine from about 1 month. Still do that exact routine at 13 months and find it really works for us. I know a lot of people say you should just go with the flow for the first couple of months, but DD seemed to easily fit into some sort of routine when I tried it, and it made our life much easier.
