Almost 14mo started waking for an hour or more at night

DD, 14mo in a week was sleeping well -

7pm-7/7.30am
either 2 one hour naps or 1 nap

For the past 4 nights she has been waking in the night for between 1 and 2 hours (not at the same time). Not up and ready to play type of awake but headbanging in her cot, grizzling (not crying), moaning in between quiet spells.

I'm not sure why. She is getting 4 molars (I can feel the tips of 3) but this doesn't seem to bother her at all in the day or when I get her up. She's quite happy in the day (albeit a bit tired from losing sleep at the momnet).

oes this sound like she might have teething pains at night? This is my first as you can probably tell!

Just a bump really. Hope no one minds!

Anyone had a baby of this age started waking like this in the night? Was it just a phase? Due to teething

Basically I'm not sure if I need to DO anything or ust ride it out and put it down to teeth/phase?

Thanks

Yes it'll be teeth. In the day there's loads to distract her. At night there isn't when she goes into a light sleep.

So try calpol?

My 15 month old started doing this recently and he's getting molars through as well so I'm guessing it must be teething. He seemed to be in a lot of pain about a week ago and has been sleeping erratically as a result. Naps have gone crazy as well as night-time in our case though. I'm just hanging on, hoping it's not going to last... trying to stay sane...Confused

My 16mo did exactly this with his molars. We had 2 weeks of screaming for an hour plus a night for about 2 weeks then it stopped as randomly as it started. I think it's a phase so hang on in there and drink coffee!

Oh and also yes to the calpol. It was better on the nights we dosed up with 3 hour alternate calpol and neurofen
