2.5 DS - crap at sharing
Plays nicely with siblings and children he knows
Playgroup type scenario, forget it - he's horrendous
Thought a book might help
My other 2 were always alright with this sort of thing

Not got a book recommendation but have you read this?

Playgroups are a free for all.

Why not teach him about taking turns. Let's be frank now, playgroups are not about sharing. I stopped going with ds at around 2 as they were horrid IMO! Hard to teach sharing when a kid runs off with what he was playing with.

He obviously knows what to do when not at playgroup so I wouldn't worry.

Agree Playgroups are awful once they are at rampaging-toddler age
Can't wait for Spring to come in when it's Park all the way Smile

That list is good though

Iggly - you're right - he obviously knows how to do it, I'm not gonna think about it anymore Grin

Don't know if this will help, but it's a lovely book:

Sharing A Shell by Julia Donaldson

Yes, we have that book - it's lovely

I'll dig it out
