I wont realy kill her but she's realy testing me today, since dd2 was born her screaming has got worse, i have tried time out, tried taking her toys away and i've tried ignoring it but shes still doing it, sometimes its so loud she makes dd2 cry and shake with fear.

What can i try next?

Help! (she says as dd1 sts on the floor screaming again) ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Oh you poor thing - take her out for a walk.

lact8 · 23/04/2006 12:19

Gag?? Only joking!

How old are they?

Spagblog · 23/04/2006 12:19

How old is she? DS is going through a screaming phase - he's 2. It is so embarrassing as he can get very loud!

DD1 is 2.3, dd2 is 6 weeks, dd2 has a cold and thrush and it has taken me hours to get her to sleep, dd1 has now woken her up. I am now going to turn the tv off which will make her scream even more but she does'nt deserve to have it on (nasty mummy)

That sounds tiring. I would take my two out for a drive when they got overwhelming.
It is difficult when no.2 comes along and the eldest feels emotions she didn't have to deal with before.
It gets better

Dh has gone out in the car (with the pushchair in the boot) so im stuck with the screaming child for at least another hour.

When dh gets back i think i will leg it Grin

Marne, you definately deserve to escape for a while. Same sort of age gap here, it does get better and she will get used to all the changes soon, i know that probably doesn't help right now but positive thinking and all that Smile

when dh gets back can you get him to take her out? Where's he gone anyway?!!

Marne · 23/04/2006 12:41

He's taken the 3 step kids out (his kids), when they get back i have to cook for them and then dh wants to wach the football so i will have to keep his 2 youngest busy while he is glued to the tv with his eldest son.

Oh no!! I thought maybe he'd abandoned you to play golf or something else equally frivolous!!

Marne · 23/04/2006 12:44

He's taken them to a car boot sale, he did offer to take dd1 but i said 'she will be fine with me'.
