What's your toddlers dummy routine like?

If at all? Thoughts?

My dd1 has one for bed, and nap in the day.

She's been poorly this week so been asking for it since she's been very worn out. Hmm

And she gets upset if I do t give it her.

When she's well in herself she understands better. But still associates a dummy with sleep. In no hurry as it must be confusing when she sometimes sees dd2 with one.

Dd1 2.2y and dd2 7.5m

My DD had the same, dummy just for sleep. At a certain age (2 ish I think) she started hassling for it in the day and I didn't want to make it an issue, so the rule was she could have it but only if she got (and stayed) in bed (under the covers) with it. It appeased her but she soon discovered she'd rather play than suck.

Dummy fairy came round the time of her 3rd birthday.

I think I'm going to do the same for her third birthday, more understanding then... It does annoy me when people pass judgement. Each child is different aren't they Smile
