Idiot ??

He has got it off Dd1 who has been spoken to and knows what will heppen if I hear her say it again.

Ds however doesn't seem to be able to stop himself and i'm the main person he directs it at.

It actually makes me quite sad tbh.

How can I stop him ??

Remind me of his age.

Ignore it! Don't respond, don't answer. I tell my children once that if they talk to me like that I won't answer them until they've apologised. I tell them it's incredibly rude and I won't have it!

charliecat · 19/04/2006 17:20

:( what age is he? Could you just distract him by calling him a chicken or something and wrestling him to the floor clucking?
I think try not to make an issue of it and hope it passes.
If he gets a reaction he will say it more IYKWIM

nutcracker · 19/04/2006 17:21

He is 3.4

I will try and ignore, but it's hard, and I worry he will think it's ok if I say nothing.

Then they have to apologise and be nice in order to earn them back. At least a day before even one is given back! OMG that sounds really mean doesn't it?!

nutcracker · 19/04/2006 17:24

No i don't think it sounds mean.

Will come back to this in a bit, am burning the tea.
