Lump under eye

My DD (9 months) has had a hard, bruised looking lump under her right eye (on her cheek) for the last 3-4 months. It changes daily, some days it is smaller and other days bigger and more bruised looking.

It doesn't seem to be causing her any discomfort. We have been to see the doctor several times, as well as the HV and midwife. Each time we get a different answer. We now have a hospital appointment next week.

I'm worried that it's a cyst and that they'll want to remove it.

Has anyone else had something similar?

I had something similar that WAS a cyst and was actually under my right eyelid...if they do decide to remove it, please don't worry too much....they are so good with babies these days. They will make sure she's not really aware of what they're doing...it may be something like my DD had at a similar age...a hard lump on her tummy...it was under the skin and was not a cyst but a collection of waste cells...a hard little gathering of nothing.

They told me it would go on it's own and it did.

I stupid started googling last night and scared myself silly with the thought of her having an op on her face. I keep waiting for it to go on its own but it just seems to be getting worse

I'm sick of people asking me what's happened to her face!

Hopefully time will send it on its merry way
