7 yr olds anger

hi I have two boys age 7 and 9 and currently 26 wks pregnant with the third. My concern is my youngest son, is very angry and hurts the older one quite alot. I am worried as to when the baby born, what if he hurts him too?, I have been seeing cahms, but to be fair they not helping, they just say its sibling rivalry. I believe there is more to it.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

My DS is 7 and went through a really angry period last September , triggered by a big change at school.

I knew things were bad when his teacher reported to me that the anger was appearing in the class room too. He had always been a really well behaved boy prior to the episode.

After a couple of weeks with no improvement in his behaviour the teacher arranged some counselling for him.

Things are so much better now and the counsellor was able to give us some tips to deal with his particular issues.

Our school signs up for this outside counselling service so it may be worth speaking to the teacher.

Just to add that my DS's anger at home was aimed at his younger sister. In the first of the counselling sessions all my DS talked about was his sister and how she annoyed him!

One of the things we agreed was that my DS should have 30 mins each evening doing an activity of his choice with either me or DH while DD was occupied elsewhere. This really helped.

really do suggest that you have a chat with the school and see about counseling' You do not say how you deal with it tho' There probably is a simple reason behind it just needs digging out,
