Milk... What to do if 16mo refuses to drink it?

My DS is 16mo. He reduced to 2 bottles (morning and bedtime) a few months ago and then about a month ago stopped his bedtime bottle (tried beaker but he wouldn't touch it) now he is starting to refuse his morning milk! I just don't know what to do, there's only do much yoghurt and cheese I can give him in a day to try and make up for it!

Smoothie? Milk peanut butter and honey and banana . Or milk shake?

Don't worry too much. If he eats a fairly balanced diet with some dairy, then he can cope without drinking much milk. If you're worried then add more dairy to his food- cheese sauce on vegetables, custard or yoghurt for pudding, cream cheese on toast etc. Does he have cereal with milk?

Agree with Pozzled, I really don't think it matters if he is getting a healthy, balanced diet; I never gave a 'bed time bottle' after my DS stopped b/feeding at around 8 months - just went straight to drinks with meals, sometimes milk, other times water. Hssn't stopped him growing up into a healthy, sports mad 12 year old !!

My DD stopped Breastfeeding at 16 months and has never had milk as a drink since then

She is now 15, 5'8'' and very healthy - still hates cow's milk

I started refusing milk as a baby. I still can't stand it.
