DS, previously a very smiley and content baby, has been really fractious for the last few days. Some of it is teething related, and he's wanted to be carried in a sling a lot, which is fine. But when he's playing he's constantly grizzly - I think it's because he's trying to do things he can't manage yet, like getting into a sitting position.

I know I can't speed him up (and don't want to!). Any tips for helping them at this frustrating stage?

Just relax about it! It's only been a few days and he is most likely to being back to smiley and happy in the next few days!

If I think what I'd do with my 6 month old, I'd probably just distract him from his frustration by having a sing song or taking him out of where he is and giving him a change of scene. (ie I take mine to go see the dog in the kitchen or show him the Xmas tree etc)

Sorry if this is no help at all!

Yes, it is a help. You're right (I hope!) that he'll be back to himself soon. I was just frustrated myself when I wrote the post! He's happily having breakfast now!
