How tall is/was your child at 5.5-6 year old?

My ds is 5 years and 8 months and only 110cms and I am pretty sure he is very short for his age. Can I ask other people with children around the same age how tall their child is (especially boys) just out of interest.

Dd2 is 5.9 and 108cms, shes shorter than everyone in her class and most of reception :-)

DD was 122cm at 5.10 and was (and is) the tallest (but also oldest) in her year.

DD is 115cm and was 6 in October. She's shot up in the last 6 months, she's not destined for tallness as me and DH are right short arses. I think she's overtaken some of the boys in her Y1 class though.

My ds comes from a family of very tall males on both sides, typically 6'4/5. He is 123cm and is the tallest in his year 1 class. I'm not sure that centiles take into account genetics and body types of the parents. Surely this must be a factor. There are children 10 cm shorter than my ds in his class. I wouldn't worry about it. I do remember when I was at school. After the summer holidays some of my peers had sprouted and were a good cm or more taller than me.
We are all very different shades of normal with wide variations. :-)

DS3 is 5.11 and a month ago he was 112cm. He one of the smaller boys in year 1 but the tallest of all three of my boys.

At this age my eldest was around 105cm and skinny, now at almost 19 he is just a shade under 6 feet tall (and still very slim) and is desperate to grow a tiny bit more :D
