Diarrhoea & teething

My lil one has had diarrhoea on and off over the last week he has been the docs who has said to just keep an eye on it. I regularly check his mouth to see if he's teething and I think I felt some sharp ridges at the back of his mouth. To questions really can teething cause diarrhoea (why?) and I thought it was the front teeth that came through first. My DS is 5 months on boxing day.

Mine did. Had Diarrhoea for about a week before 2 teeth came out. He was off his food too. I have no evidence to say that it was teething, but I am pretty sure it was.

Yes it can definately cause that. I think it is the amount of saliva they are swallowing which causes it.

Yes it most certainly does. You will know if it is anything more than that as a viral tummy bug will often cause a temp. Teething children do not get temps, this was advice I got from my G.P last week.

Yea, teething does cause diarrhoea, I used to find Ashton and parsons teething powders helped firm it up.
