As the title says really.

this started happening around 2 months ago when she got a bad cold. then i went back to work (been about a month now).

what should i do - sleep training or let her stay in our bed as theres alot of change? we're both still recovering from another cold.

My Ds was always a good sleeper but went through a stage like this when he was younger (he is 2 now)

Not sure why, he just would wake up in the night and want to be in with us.

Lovely having him in bed but i got no sleep as he was so wriggly. I just perservered with it and he just grew out of it. He now sleeps 12-13hrs through the night and is fine.

It was the same with his stage of waking up at 5am each morning! That lasted for a month and i thought it may be forever!

My belief is if you make them happy and secure they will gradually work it out - rather than 'making a rod for your back'! Hate that phrase

Thank you big gums I hate that rod for your own back expression as well. Think I'll let dd stay in our bed for the next month or so and hope things improve...none of us are sleeping, we're all so tired.

Hi, I'm having this problem too, dd is 11mo and started waking to come in my bed at 10pm when she was about 9mo. She cuddles all night, which is lovely, but I'm scared she may need this for years and I'll never be able to go out in the evening again!

Big gums - how old was your ds when he grew out of it and how did you help it happen, or did it happen naturally?!

Leave it until the days get lighter and the bugs less.

In my experience mid winter (and mid summer) are not good times to instil sleep.

This year more than ever because no one hasn't got a cold.
