9 month DD...

... Isn't rolling, crawling, cruising or making any attempt whatsoever at moving! She just sits like a little Buddha. She cries when on her tum & hasn't learnt that she can just roll onto her back if she doesn't like it! She's been sitting in her own since 5.5 months, she clapped from 6 months, could feed herself with a spoon from 6 months. She is a chubba bubba & stands well (when propped up or held). Should I be concerned? Mostly I'm worried at lack of rolling!?! She did it a few times at 6 months but then cried when stuck on her tum. Anyone else the same?

It's annoying but not unusual. Our son couldn't be bothered rolling around until over 9 months - couldn't roll from front to back at all at 7 months. He's nearly 11 months and isn't crawling but has started pulling himself up on furniture a bit and on all 4s. But he's v alert, sociable, will put things in my hand, roll a ball to me, etc. so I'm not worried.

Yeah, our DD is the same, she's always been very alert & seems quite advanced in all that isn't being mobile!!! Suppose I should make the most of not having to run after her & not having her into everything.

Well my 9 month dd can roll/crawl etc BUT she certainly can't clap or feed herself with a spoon and has only been able to sit up in last couple of weeks so to me your dd sounds quite advanced in someways!!

How is it annoying? Sounds great to me both of mine blardy commando crawled before they could sit dd1 from 26 weeks Shock. Crawling babies are a nightmare. I'd love a little buddha I could sit and play with toys with instead of despairingly dragging them away from cupboards.

My DD didn't move until she was about 10 months, she wouldn't even bear any weight on her legs. Then suddenly she started crawling, cruising and is now at 12 months very close to walking-she keeps letting go with both hands and balancing for a millisecond. I don't think you should worry at 9 months, it is still very young.

DD1 never rolled over, crawled or cruised. She bottom shuffled until 20 months when she surprised us all by getting up and walking across the room Grin
