She toilet trained at 2 but never had a dry night. It never really bothered her until she was 7 and became more conscious of it and I started to wonder whether she would ever be dry. I didn't want to medicalise it for her by taking her to the GP if I could help it so asked and looked for advice on here. We upped her fluid intake and stopped her drinking an hour before bedtime but on it's own, that made no difference.
A couple of people mentioned the a wireless alarm system which we got and also some really absorbent waterproof (not plasticky) sheets. We got the alarm and 2 sheets and although it wasn't always straightforward, I can honestly say she has never looked back and is now dry 99% of nights.
I just wanted to share a positive story, dd is so proud of herself.
We are now ready to pass the stuff on, free for postage if anyone is interested as it is expensive new. Feel free to pm me for more details
