Hi, came on here because my just about 7 month old DD has been waking at 5:15-5:30 for about 3 weeks now. She goes to sleep between 7 and 8 but usually at 7:30. Sometimes wakes once or twice in the evening (between 7:30 and 9:30), when we just pick her up and she goes straight back to sleep, sometimes sleeps "through" till 5:15/5:30. Anyway she is wide awake and won't go back to sleep even if I cuddle her/give her some milk in the dark/ no eye contact etc. Have tried for an hour! Won't go back to sleep in bed with us either, just thinks its playtime. Have tried making bedtime earlier and later - no effect. Have tried cutting out her afternoon nap - no effect (possibly made her sleep worse at night). Have tried dream feed - no effect. Her room is a steady 19degrees and sges in a grobag. It is obviously pitch black outside but she has a little nightlight in her room that stays on all night. Not really willing to do CC and don't see that it would work anyway as I cannot get her back to sleep at all! Also as she's crawling would be worried she'd get frustrated and try to pull herself up. She then has a nap at 8:30-9am for 40 mins to an hour. She's never been a late riser but it used to be 6:15-6:30 which suited me! Anyway, as a last ditch before I give up and start getting up at 5:15ish for the foreseeable thought I might try wake to sleep but keen to hear from anyone who's done it. How long will I have to do it for? What time should I wake her? Would love to hear from you or any other suggestions I might have missed, sorry for long post just wanted to explain what I'd already tried! X
