Hi all dd1 is 8.7 she's always struggled with maths. Parents evening the other week I was told she's low average. I told the teacher that dd reverses numbers ie 105 she will read as 150 or 75 she will write as 57. This isn't all the time but about a third of the time. Teacher hasn't noticed (I think dds table carry her a bit in maths and she copies their answers).
Also despite repeatedly being told when she counts in 100s she says ten hundred instead of a thousand and seems to forget number rules easily.
Is this normal in an 8.7yr old? She does have ADHD but doesn't require help at school especially just prompting and guiding on het behaviour. Is it worth getting teacher to give her a bit more help? Thanks. Oh AMD reading and writing is above average
