This is not a boast, I'm just a proud mamma! Dd is 2.6 and has had four days of all wees and poos on potty, no accidents. And today when she told me she needed a wee whilst visiting Santas Grotto, when I foolishly had no spare knicks for her, she did a wee in the ladies :D

Oh...i want a potty trained child too! My DS is 21 months...I'm umming and ahhing about when how to start. So far I've tackled all things parenting with gusto, but this potty training this has me burying my head in sand. He tells me when he's done a poo, and a couple of times I THINK he's said something and told me he's about to do one. Could he be ready? Part of me wants to send him to my mums for a week and let her do it :(

Well done btw!

I've only just seen your reply, sorry!

I just used to sit my DS on the potty when he was around 12mo to do his poos. He was regular as clockwork with them, and soon figured out he would rather poo on a potty than in his pants. Just before his second birthday I tried him in big boy pants. I made a huge fuss over them, and would put them on him then put him straight on the potty so he knew he couldn't pee in them. We had loads of accidents the first week, so I have it a rest. Tried again over the last two weeks and he takes himself off to the potty now. We've only had a couple of accidents, and he's always realised his error and gone off to the potty. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, just trial and error.
