I know it sounds daft but dtds are not walking at 15 months - cruising well and showing all the signs. dtd2 has stood unaided, bending up and down for 2 months and has taken 4 steps at a time but sporadically, dtd1 has just started to stand unaided but is very sturdy on her feet when I hold her hand but won't let go.
I know they all develop differently but we're being left behind socially. It's not bothered me at all until now, but other mums who I have shared the growing up with at baby groups are moving on and going out on day trips that dtds and I cannot do - walks that aren't pushchair friendly etc.
How can I encourage walking? They have soft sole shoes for when we're out - jojo maman bebe ones - but I'm wondering if Clarks Cruisers would be better at this stage as they are so close but often trip on the soft shoes (they've just gone into 12-18month ones so bit on the big side).
I know the advice is bare feet but wonder if anyone has any experience of them helping give a firmer base?
I know it will come but I guess dd1 walking at 12 months, and very confidently - she just stood up one day and walked like she'd done it forever - it seems to be taking ages.
