what size are an average 12yo boys feet?

Is there an average?
My DS is 11, and his three friends who's birthdays are all within a fortnight and live locally so I've seen the shoes piled up at the door....
My DS size 5
Friend one size 7
Friend two is a size 6
Friend three is a 5.

My ds is 12 and is a size 7. He is 5ft 7 if that helps.

Thanks for your replies, i am buying socks for a friends son, it's a long story but i had to guess the size. Think i have probably guessed too small although he is generally quite small for his age.

do they not do a size 4-7 as that would cover most of the sizes for that age group.

my 12 year old has size 11 feet. adult size 11.

My 12 year old son has the same size feet as me, size 6. We don't share shoes though.

My son was a 5.5 (same size as me at that age). Other people's sons might be about to start their growth spurt and be a 10 or 11. I've know 12 yo boys with size 1 feet (admittedly very small boys for their age). Best to ask his parents I think.

My eldest is 13 and has size 8/9 feet, other son is 11 and has size 5/6 feet. They take after their dad who is a size 11 :)

At 12 DS3 was a 4, he gradually grew to a 5 over the next two years and in the last six months has gone through 5 and six and now wears a 7. My friend's son is only just 14 and he wears a 9. I'm not sure there is an average.

Obviously mathematically there must be an average, maybe I should have said there isn't a typical size, LOL
