Is there anything I can do about this?

My DC seem to live life in the fast lane! DD wants to run everywhere . She laughs cause I am trying to keep up with her (to keep her safe crossing roads etc). She is nearly 4. She will not hold hands (apart from when we are crossing the road.)
Lately she has been going up and down stairs a lot everyday to get toys. The trouble is, she gets a lot of toys from DS bedroom so then when he gets home he kicks off cause they are his toys.
She does a lot of imaginary play, pretending to be characters and talking to herself.

Is this normal for her age?

I don't know if I'm just finding it all a bit much today cause I am tired.

Lots of little ones don't want to hold hands but at that age I think they have to, just to keep safe. What I do is say hold my hand please, if it gets a no they either go in the pushchair if they are young enough or on reins if not. No arguing, it's one or the other.

As for getting DS toys, we have steep stairs so my 5yo isn't allowed to carry anything downstairs, she has to ask us. As for going in her brothers room, I'm not surprised he gets pissed off, I would stop her doing that if I were you. She needs to learn to respect other people's stuff and I'm sure you can do without your DS being upset after school.

Everything else sounds fine to me though, hope you get an early night
