porn-free internet

I?ve always had good adult content filters on our home computers (Netnanny; K9, Contentwatch, etc) but my teenagers now need laptops and wireless connectivity, which enables them to bypass this software. Are there are ISPs who offer the web with a built-in filter? I know there was a campaign earlier this year to try and make the default provision free of porn unless you ?opted in? but I now cannot find anything about it - can someone point me in the right direction? How do other parents stop their kids from watching porn on their laptops?

OK I?ve just found a thread about a campaign from 2 years ago, and added a post on that, but I still need to know which ISPs offer this - I will take out a contract with them tomorrow, even sacrificing my beloved Tivo box! (we?re with Virgin at the moment, who said they were going to do it, but it hasnt happened.
Can anyone advise?

How old are your teenagers? Are you sure you can't just trust them? Or teach them how to be safe?

Why do you need to watch them like Big Brother?

You could simply insist that all computers/screens are used in a public space.

Don?t know if anyone is still following this thread - I am not a regular visitor to MN and somehow missed the responses to my initial posting.

Up until now, all our computers have been in shared areas, but I want to get them both laptops that they can take into their rooms - they need them for homework, revision, etc. My eldest has behavioural difficulties, and is most likely to watch porn all night long unless I can find a way of blocking it (he?s 16, to answer your question Tee2072) If there is anyone out there who still think it?s Ok to allow this is happen, have a look at Diane Abbot?s campaign. I still haven?t found the answer, though I have discovered switchable routers, which allow me to select which devices can access the router at different times

I think TalkTalk offers it, but before going down this route, you need to be fully aware of why blocking at ISP doesn't work terriby well (less protection than net nanny-type software).
