My son is 22 months, and is able to speak fairly well and understands simple instructions.... he has been asking occasionally, when i got for a wee, for him to do a wee on the toilet to. So i have a training seat for the toilet and a potty and he will sit on the toilet seat and, even if it takes 5 or 10 minutes i keep him sat there and he pees, and i make a big thing out of it... which is great,. except when i put a nappy back on him, he then ets really upset with me?! any help would be appreciated. I just dont know if its too soon xx Confused

it takes time.

give it a week, if now is a convenient time.

how about using pull ups rather than nappies - that way you can pull them up and down like pants but avoid the accidents if he's not quite ready?
