My son is 8 and nearly finished a tub of eye q tablets.

Just wondering if anyone had thoughts on what the best kind are?

Read this before you buy any more of any type.

Vegepa. They have the correct ratio of EPA and the other one I can't remember and no E numbers. You can get chewable capsules from amazon

I obviously haven't done a clinical trial but my son after just two months on a high dose of omega 3 had massively improved concentration - eg in April his teacher said he could not do maths for more than two minutes without adult supervision but by June he had completed a 20 min test without any support at all.

Did he know that the pills were supposed to improve his concentration?

Vegepa or Mini MorEPA tried both

shoppingbagsundereyes · 04/11/2012 21:23

No, he was only 5 at the time. Went from messing around at swimming lessons, ducking under the water etc to listening attentively to the teacher. Same teacher, same child, we had said nothing, he just was able to focus better.

What did he think the tablets were for?

shoppingbagsundereyes · 05/11/2012 13:44

I snip the capsules and put the omega stuff in his juiced. He thinks they are vitamins. He is only little, I shall explain what they are when he's a bit older. There is no way he would start behaving better just because he thought he was supposed to. His lack of attention was involuntary, he tried hard to concentrate but just couldn't. My story is obviously anecdotal and there is no way we will ever know for sure if he would have developed better attention naturally anyway but it seemed a significant improvement in a short period of time.

My ds has Eskimo oil - he doesn't know what it's for but his concentration is much much better (poss asd waiting CAMHS) referral

Thanks very much.
If you go onto the Tinsley house clinic website, there is a 25% off discount code for vegepa. I will check out prices there and on amazon.

Bodykind.co.uk were selling 3 pack deals of Vegepa at half price last week. Might be worth a look. I ordered them and they arrived the next day
