Sit down to poo!!

DS1 is great on the potty, and we've ended up "training" him much earlier than intended! But he wont sit down to poo! (He will sit on it, but stands up again to poo) he stands to wee too, but this is less minging of a problem, as being a boy he can wee standing up anyway :) I'm trying to bribe him, but he just sits down then stands up again...

He does sit on the toilet.

What do you think? Is there any point persevering, or do you think theres no point worrying til he uses the toilet ( and hopefully sits)

Dd isn't potty training yet but always poos in her nappy standing up and I did wonder how this would translate to the potty!

My DS did the same thing! I thought it was funny. Nothing to worry about because, if you think about it, when pooing in their nappies, they used to stand up too - it's all they know. But once Ds graduated to a toilet he started sitting down to poo and wee. Now DS (4) finds it hard to stand up and wee although he is trying very hard to learn!
