12 month old DD is now walking unassisted about 8 steps or so and is confidently cruising or pushing her pram until the cows come home. At the moment she's just in socks with non-slip soles or bare feet. I can't remember when I need to think about getting her some first walker shoes (memory goes at my age Smile). Should she stay in socks etc for as long as possible or does there come a time when she needs something more supportive?

When she's walking outside, get her some shoes. Till then, save your money!

I would think she has to be walking a lot more than that before you need to get her shoes

6 weeks after they first walk properly is the line......

ds2 started properly walking this week.....across the room unaided....

am not going to bother for several months he has some star child soft shoes which are fine for now imo

IIRC Clarks say 6 weeks after they are walking confidently. I'd wait as well, might as well get summer ones!

Seem to remember being told bare feet as long as possible - not if they're walking outside though obviously
