My ds is 7 and obsessed with girls!

I could really use some advice please. My son is completely obsessed with girls, kissing, private parts etc and its driving me insane! Im worried there is something wrong with him, he is really rude and always pointing at pictures of models and saying that they're 'hot' or he wants them to be his gf. He touches the manequins private parts when were shopping and told me the other day he had 'snogged' his gf (girl across the street) and did the motions to show me what he meant! What can I do? Im getting more and more distressed by this and his general lack of regard for rules and discipline. Im also pregnant with my 2nd and dont want stress to affect my baby.

What's he being exposed to?

Though mind you we were a bunch of horrible 'rude stuff' obsessed little things at my primary school at 7/8. Though they were all watching Eurotrash which might have had something to do with it.

I am very strict with him at home with regards to what he is allowed to watch and he very rarely plays computer games (I'd never let him play games with adult content). His school is quite rough to be fair and I do hear some rude talk in the playground and know that other children are exposed to adult themed movies and games. There isnt anything I can do about his school though, is there?

how do you react? are you able to keep your cool and ignore or does he get a reaction out of you? sometimes our children do things like swearing because they know it gets out attention, and this might work in the same way perhaps?

I'm also wondering if you ought to mention something to a teacher. I have a couple of health professional friends who have instantly reported to school when their child seemed to be picking up this kind of reference from a classmate- the idea being that the classmate in question might be suffering abuse out of school. They just reported the problem, sticking to the facts, and then kept out of it. Maybe a classmate is trying to impress by sounding like a big brother?

Thank you I hadn't considered that. I will mention it to the teacher and she what she thinks. As for reactions I try not to overreact but I guess I inevitably do sometimes! I will try to keep that in check and hope to god that helps.
Im actually quite worried now that the teacher will think somethings happening to him if they over hear him :( He just seems far to young to be behaving like this its really upsetting.
